StationRL #2: HUD Mockup!


So before I get into the nitty-gritty of procedural generation and system interaction, I thought I’d whip up a quick HUD and get that running.
So here’s the HUD as it is now; at the right hand side is an information panel for status bars, equipment status, and various things. There’s a little floppy disk drive there, so that the player can plug different software into their space suit!
The idea is that you’d find pieces of hardware you could attach to your suit (and use some battery power) and find pieces of software that would use the hardware you already have to enhance your abilities!
At the bottom is the standard roguelike message log. Information about the environment, your actions, and so on will be displayed there.
Additionally, there’s some randomized screen artifacting that happens when you are low on health! Just an effect I wanted to try out.
